Black Max Reverse Osmosis Membrane – 75GPD, TFC 1812 BME1812R75

Description

Black Max Reverse Osmosis Membrane – 75GPD, TFC 1812 BME1812R75

The Black Max Thin Film Composite (TFC) membrane is designed for residential reverse osmosis systems, delivering up to 75 gallons per day (GPD) of purified water. It fits all Franklin Water Treatment Vectapure Systems, as well as most standard residential membrane housings.

Note: This membrane does not fit the newer V360 and NX systems, which use encapsulated membranes. For those models, please refer to our other listings.

How It Works

The Black Max membrane consists of multiple thin layers of film, bonded and rolled in a spiral around a central tube. As water passes across the membrane surface:

  • Pure water molecules penetrate and collect in the tube.
  • Minerals and contaminants are rejected and flushed to the drain.

Installation & Compatibility

  • If your system already uses a 75 GPD membrane, you can replace it directly.
  • If upgrading from a smaller membrane (e.g., 36 GPD to 75 GPD), you must also replace the flow control valve to match the new capacity.

Maintenance Tip

Small openings in the flow control valve can become clogged over time, reducing water production. It’s advisable to replace the valve when installing a new membrane.
