This is a fundraising initiative with a difference. You don’t need to be rich, you just need to have a big heart to contribute. You won’t think twice about loosening your purse strings or rappelling down a multistoried building for this great cause.

People can contribute by joining the Superhero Club for Easter Seals™ and participating in the Drop Zone challenge or donate money directly for the cause.

The Drop Zone challenge is organized by SMD Foundation/Easter Seals™ Manitoba in support of children and adults in Manitoba with disabilities. The slogan is “Challenge Yourself and Change Lives.”

SMD Foundation/Easter Seals™ Manitoba aims to raise funds and foster philanthropy for individuals with disabilities. The organization ensures that proceeds raised in Manitoba stay here and spent to support and empower over 40,000 Manitobans with disabilities through various programs and services.

Did you know that since 2005 over 2500 members have joined the Superhero Club for Easter Seals™ Canada and have help to raise more than $3 million for individuals with disabilities?

If you are a resident of Winnipeg, these are the steps you need to take to become a real life superhero:

• Register at www.thedropzone.ca

• Be at the Royal Bank Building, 220 Portage Avenue, Winnipeg, Manitoba on August 19th, 2010

• Fundraise a minimum of $1500

• Rappel down the RBC building on the big event day and become a superhero for Manitoban children and adults with disabilities.
