Leanne Bochinski: Owner of the World of Water Stores on Henderson Hwy. & Plessis Road.
Leanne has been married to her husband Rory
for almost 20 years and has four children.
She has a Bachelor of Education degree from
the University of Manitoba. Leanne became
a customer at the Henderson World of Water
when her son Joshua became extremely ill at
the age of 8 months. He was hospitalized for
an extended period of time and doctors could
not come to a conclusive diagnosis. She had
to radically change his diet including the
water he consumed. After extensive research,
and doctor's recommendation, she found distilled
water to be the purest water possible and the
one to drink for optimal health. After being
a customer for over a year, Leanne purchased
the Henderson store on April 1, 2001.
She was extremely excited for several reasons:
- She believed wholeheartedly in the product
and saw potential for the store.
- She wanted to educate people on the health
benefits of drinking distilled water.
- She lived in the area and her family was
very active in the community.
- She enjoyed meeting new people and sharing
her passion for good health.
After owning the Henderson store for five
years Leanne was nominated for the Women Entrepreneur
of the Year Award. At the gala awards dinner,
Leanne was honored to receive both the Building
Business Award, and received the Overall Winner
Award to become the 2006 Manitoba Woman Entrepreneur
of the Year.
In 2007, Leanne purchased the store located
at 1783 Plessis Rd with the goal of expanding
her World of Water territory and providing
the same great customer service that won her
the Women Entrepreneur of the Year Award.
